On his weekly show, Maher said that he is growing tired of the antics of Occupy protesters.
And I think that’s where we’re at now with the Occupy movement. They did a great job of bringing the issue of income inequality to the fore. But now it’s just a bunch of douche bags who think throwing a chair through the Starbucks window is gonna bring on the revolution.
To an extent I agree with Maher. Going urban camping isn’t the same as creating a movement that lasts. We need leaders and speakers for the movement, not big tents and feel-good sing along.
